Safety on the roads

People drive on the right side of the road in Taiwan. Students may think traffic in Taiwan is a little scary, and it can be a little crazy at times! Most drivers will not yield to pedestrians, and some will even cross the road during a red light. Therefore, it is imperative to STOP and LOOK in all directions before you cross a road.

Bicycle is recommended for your travel within the university’s campuses and also this city. When riding a bicycle, please remember that the people in front of you will not look behind them: it is your responsibility to keep an eye on what’s going on in front of you (in turn, people behind you will watch you). To make left turn at intersection, you would need to make two-section right turning. In addition, we strongly recommend students to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.
